The
Audit Program is ideal for
individuals who have specific interests within the heritage
restoration field, but are not intent on a career in heritage
conservation. The Audit Program is also designed for tradespeople
desiring to upgrade and expand their skills to include best
conservation standard and guideline practices. This program
accepts a limited number of students per course/workshop/seminar.
The Structure of the Program is built
on three foundations:
Classical Education: at
all levels, the emphasis is on the best standardand guideline practices
for the conservation of cultural heritage properties.
Collaborative Community: under
the guidance of experienced instructors, students are trained in appropriate
conservation practices while
participating in projects on heritage properties.
Industry
Contact:
as the student progresses through
the Diploma Program, a greater proportion of time will be spent on
restoration projects undertaken by the school. At
every level, opportunities for apprenticeship and employment, future
client contacts and projects are present, while students are exposed
to the master work by professionals actively involved in heritage conservation.
